I finally found a delicious pomegranate! Of course, it was grown in California. But it survived the trip! I love how jewel-like the seeds of the pomegranate are-- multifaceted, glimmering, and garnet-hued. The tiny gems I gleaned from the pith lasted about a day, since they make for such awesome snacks. Extracting the seeds is a relaxing, meditative process, and one I look forward to each autumn.
